Life's great and small experiences are worth commemorating in some way.
There are those moments in life that cannot be forgotten. They're simply enormous.
But there are so many more that ought to be remembered and can be forgotten with time. This is why they need to be distinguished by doing something unique
.
Which moments in life are most important to you is a highly personal decision. What is important to one person may be irrelevant to another. Moments can be lost in this way. They don't elicit conventional family and friend celebrations. They demand that the person to whom the event is significant announce it as such and make it unforgettable.
Solo travel is a unique approach to commemorate an important life event in your own unique way.
A defining moment in one's life. It's the point at when a decision is made, a goal is met, or everything changes due to an external influence.
These moments can be essential to you, but others may find them odd or somewhat humorous. These are the kinds of occasions that are best commemorated with a solitary journey.
Here are a few life milestones to commemorate with solo travel:
- A new career, business, or side hustle is on the horizon. You'll be busy once you start any of these. It's possible that you're incredibly busy. Even so, you can set aside a weekend to commemorate such a significant occasion.
- Getting through school. College and university life may be draining. Graduation can bring a sense of relaxation. Start saving early so you don't add to your school debt and can look forward to a fantastic celebration trip.
- Getting to a new degree of expertise. It will be when I achieve a new level of fluency in French for myself. It may be finishing a painting course or progressing to a higher level of yoga for you. Take your accomplishment and enjoy it in a different location.
- The death of a loved one. Losing someone, whether a lover or a beloved friend, is a part of life. While celebration isn't on the table, remembering and recognizing the loss is. Travel has given me a gentle boost throughout my loss.
- A personal project was completed. You have reason to rejoice if you have been working on a project that has taken up a lot of your time and you have completed it. Maybe you've been working on a quilt for a year, or you've been remodeling your home, or you've just finished a difficult job at work. Whatever it is, when you have spare time, celebrate your achievement by going on a solo trip.
- Retirement. Typically, friends and partners do not retire at the same time. Solo travel allows you a more customized retirement celebration.
- Debt-free living. This is a pivotal event in many people's lives. Being debt-free gives you a lot of freedom. Celebrate by taking a trip that is all paid for before you go.
There are many reasons to rejoice in life. Sometimes the greatest way to celebrate is to do so alone.
